Worst House on the Street - Season 1

Season 1

Episodes

Croydon: Harry and Yimika
In this opening episode, Scarlette and Stuart help young professional couple Harry and Yimika to totally transform their tired and ugly terraced house in Croydon into one of the best on the block. It's not an easy job after asbestos is discovered, costing valuable time and money. But Scarlette and Stuart come to their rescue, saving them a small fortune by finding a supplier offering discounts on kitchen work surfaces, bringing valuable design advice to create a stylish front porch, and suggesting spray-painting the shabby window frames to make them look brand new.

York: Gemma and Scott
First-time buyers Gemma and Scott have taken on a house in York that has been untouched for decades. Their plan is to renovate the entire property but their budget is tight. Enter Scarlette and Stuart Douglas, who suggest the novices should knock down the garage to free up an incredible garden space and uncover some of the original features hidden away by the previous owners. However, they face a running battle to convince Gemma and Scott to turn one of the bedrooms into a stylish bathroom.

The Wirral: Paula
Scarlette and Stuart Douglas meet single mother Paula, who has bought a home in Wirral which has plenty of problems - not least running water flooding the ground floor. To make matters worse, Paula has just £20,000, so the siblings have to be clever with cash - but as building costs begin to mount, will the funds be enough to complete the renovation?

Bristol: Sana
Scarlette and Stuart Douglas meet first-time buyer Sana, who has purchased a hideously dated property riddled with damp, cracked windows and an overgrown garden in an up-and-coming area of Bristol. They help Sana secure a high-end kitchen at a bargain price, design a home office and also give her valuable advice when the builders let her down. However, as costs soar and sourcing materials gets harder, Sana has to push back her moving-in date and is forced to use her contingency money to get the mammoth project finished.

Swansea: Laura and Tim
Scarlette and Stuart Douglas are in a small village just outside Swansea where accountants Laura and Tim have bought a derelict detached cottage, whose dated design is letting down the neighbourhood. The siblings can see the property has potential and quickly get to work, designing a boutique-style bathroom for the couple, a stunning bedroom for their daughter and helping to change the tired conservatory into a modern entertaining space that can be used all year round.

Bedfordshire: Kelly and Andrew
Scarlette and Stuart Douglas help first-time renovators Kelly and Andrew overhaul their ramshackle eyesore of a house in rural Bedfordshire into their dream home. Kelly and Andrew's budget is tight, forcing them to live in the house while all the work is going on, which proves to be a stressful challenge. The downstairs is a confusing maze of small box rooms and large unused spaces, so Scarlette and Stuart use all their expertise and a variety of style tips that are affordable and on trend, to help Kelly and Andrew totally reconfigure their house and create a stunning new open-plan kitchen-diner that revitalises the space.
