This episode will feature John Cena and Cody Rhodes making their final appearances before SummerSlam. Damian Priest and Aleister Black are set for a brutal showdown. Giulia defends her Women's United States Championship against Zelina Vega. Los Garza issued an open challenge to teams from Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and AAA, and Jelly Roll is set to appear.

John Cena is back on SmackDown after losing the Undisputed WWE Title to Cody Rhodes in a Street Fight at SummerSlam and following the stunning post-match beatdown he received at the hands of Brock Lesnar.
