Extended TV-version of movie adaptation of the eponymous 19th-c. novel by Armenian writer Raffi. It tells the story of Iranian Armenians who chose forgery, murder, deceit and theft, usually accompanied by murder, as their source of income. They would travel through various regions and countries and present themselves as members of the nation or religious group they want to steal from. They'd thoroughly study the nation they wanted to steal from, its beliefs and traditions to be able to perfectly mimic their behaviour and religious features and thus they'd easily pass as a member of that nation or religious group.
