A well-known doctor, a specialist in male infertility, Maxim Mozharov, was killed in his own house. Katya Mozharova was found tied up and raped next to her husband's body. The investigation suspects Nikolai Gusev, a former patient of Maxim, an unbalanced type, who served time for sexual harassment. Mozharov's son Sergei, an avid gambler, was also among the suspects. But it soon turns out that the motive was also with Maxim's mistress - Irina Nekipelova.
