Melodrama set in two periods, the present and the first decades of the 20th century, centered on the history of a powerful family in Barcelona. Violeta Lax, the granddaughter of Amadeo Lax, a famous painter of the early 20th century, travels to Barcelona to supervise the remodeling of an old mansion that will become a museum dedicated to her grandfather. But the appearance of a mummified body in a secret room will lead Violeta to discover the dark past of her family. Hidden enigmas that will serve you to learn more about Teresa Brusés, her grandmother and, above all, to decipher the most hidden and unknown face of her revered grandfather. In the house of the Lax a pact of silence was imposed for a long time: Amadeo demanded that no member of his family ever remember the name or destiny of the wife who abandoned him just at the time of the Civil War.
