In WCG Ultimate Gamer, 12 top gamers from around the country live together and battle one another in a series of competitions that take them "beyond the game". From real-life challenges inspired by top-selling games to head-to-head elimination matches before hundreds of screaming spectators, the last gamer standing after eight gruelling weeks will have survived gaming's ultimate test and will be called the best all-around gamer in the United States.

The WCG Ultimate Gamer's prize:
- $100,000
- The ultimate Samsung electronics package
- And the opportunity to be the face of the WCG, where they will represent the world's largest video gaming organization around the globe, including the 2010 Grand Final in LA, USA.
