Episode 1
The return of the documentary going behind the scenes at Hull Royal Infirmary to show the night-time challenges facing NHS staff working in the A&E department. A patient in police custody is brought in for treatment to a split eyebrow and some facial wounds, while the resus team attempts to save the life of a patient who is rushed into hospital in cardiac arrest.

Episode 2
In minors, 19-year-old Rachel arrives at the emergency department. While on a night out in Hull, she has fallen off a barstool in a pub, landing on her little finger. Horrified by the injury, she sees her finger is badly deformed, and it looks like a dislocated bone. Hoping it will simply need popping back into place, Rachel sees the triage nurse and is sent for an X-ray.

A woman is rushed in after her bike collided with a deer.

A patient becomes agtitated after waiting to be seen in A&E.

Episode 5
A patient brought into A&E claims to have swallowed drugs.

Episode 6
A 21-year-old starts an argument in the waiting room.

Episode 7
Security is called after a patient suspected of having Covid-19 ties wires around his door handles in protest after being asked not to roam around the department, while 25-year-old Chelsea arrives in resus by air ambulance after being hit by a car while on a night out. In minors, 68-year-old Roger has managed to accidentally swallow disinfectant and is worried he's caused serious internal damage, while a team tries to revive a patient who is having a cardiac arrest.

Episode 8
A woman arrives by air ambulance after falling 30ft off a castle wall and is rushed to the CT scanner to check for any life-threatening internal injuries, while a 68-year-old man in Minors is losing a lot of blood after cutting his hand on a broken glass at home. Dr Ibraheem treats a 25-year-old who has had a nasty accident while out walking his dog, with X-rays showing that he has ripped his shoulder out of joint.

Episode 9
Security are called to an incident in the Minors waiting room after a violent argument begins between two patients, while 47-year-old factory worker Mark arrives after an industrial accident tore the muscle and skin away from his wedding ring finger. Ian arrives in Resus with a worrying head injury after the 63-year-old fell down a full flight of stairs late at night and Dr Jehad must establish if he has a life-threatening bleed on the brain.

Episode 10
A patient ignores hospital policy and refuses to leave A&E after his treatment and staff and security end up in the firing line when he lashes out aggressively, while doctor Sean assesses 27-year-old Chris, who lost control of his motorbike and crushed his leg.

Episode 11
After being run over by a car on her birthday, 73-year-old Sue arrives by ambulance with spinal and head injuries, and Dr Bijou and his team have to act quickly to save her life. Advanced clinical practitioner Leigh is looking after 17-year-old Ethan after accident at a skatepark, but she has concerns when he starts to show severe signs of memory loss.

Red Eye
After attending a medical conference in Beijing and coming frighteningly close to dying in a car crash, Dr. Matthew Nolan arrives home and is immediately arrested at London's Heathrow Airport. Exhausted and confused, Nolan is accused of the murder of a woman who was in the car he crashed. Despite his protests that he was driving alone, Nolan is set to return to China to face charges.
DC Hana Li is the no-nonsense London officer charged with accompanying Nolan back to Beijing. Her resentment for this assignment, and of Nolan himself, is immediate. However, in flight, when a first death occurs, DC Li begins to suspect foul play. Further deaths confirm that Nolan is in danger, and after a call from MI5, Hana finds herself embroiled in an escalating conspiracy.
