Alice - Season 3

Mel boasts that he could do a better job at raising Tommy, and a frustrated Alice allows him Tommy to move in with him and try.

Mel sells his old car to the waitresses, then tries to get it back when he gets a better offer.

Vera has been going to the movies with new beau Brian, and lets slip she may move in with him. Alice and Flo are afraid she is moving too fast when she refuses to bring him to the diner to meet everyone.

The waitresses come together to help Mel quit gambling by giving up their own vices after they discover that he lost his car to his bookie.

Prompted by Vera's high-school reunion, Flo decides to go to night school.

Alice is left in charge as Mel decides to take a nap in the storeroom. She finds herself face to face with a pistol waving robber who demands all the money.

Mel has troubles with turkeys when he stays open on Thanksgiving.

Mel fires Alice when she takes a job as a singing messenger to finance Tommy's education.

No one believes that Vera has ESP until she successfully predicts five events.

Alice causes problems for Tommy when she starts dating his high-school principal.

Alice and her boyfriend offer Flo and Vera tickets to a charity ball.

Mel's brother, an old flame of Flo's, shows up after his third divorce.

Alice and Tommy argue over his constant phone usage calling his new girlfriend. When she grounds him, both Tommy and his girlfriend run away from home.

Mel's pushy mother, Carrie, stops by Phoenix to visit her son and announces that she plans to stay for the entire winter. Mel quickly finds that living with his mother again is too close for comfort but is unable to stand up to her.

Alice auditions for a role in a local theatrical production and winds up falling for the director.

Flo's cool reception of her visiting father shocks Alice and Vera.
