The greatest sprinter of all time, Jamaica's Usain Bolt, is expected to make his final appearance at these championships as the eight-time Olympic champion and fastest man on the planet goes for yet more glory in the 100m.

Other superstars on show include Britain's finest-ever distance runner Mo Farah, who will attempt to add to his historic ‘triple-double' in the 5000m and 10,000m after winning both races at London 2012, the 2015 World Championships in Beijing and 2016 Rio Olympics.
