Two longtime friends, Evelina and Milla, meet again after years at the funeral of their friend Adriana, who died in an accident. The two decide to help the widower, Fosco, with the sale of a house. The balance is shattered when suspicion arises that Adriana's death was not a simple accident.
 

With the disappearance of Adriana's computer, the shadow of murder becomes more concrete, and Evelina and Milla begin their investigation. Amid omissions, tensions at the pasta factory, and clashes at the Academy, unexpected passions and shocking revelations emerge, ultimately directing suspicion toward a single person.

Evelina investigates Adriana's death and discovers that Fosco was already in a new relationship. At the Academy, she tries to keep her distance from Riccardo, while Milla tackles work at the pasta factory with Cesare's help. The two friends, growing ever closer, sneak into Adriana's house… but waiting for them there is Fosco.

Adriana's computer mysteriously reappears, but the incriminating video seems to have vanished. Fortunately, the two friends manage to gather other clues and uncover a quarrel with the neighbor shortly before her death. Meanwhile, Milla faces the enormous debt of the pasta factory, while an unexpected bond begins to grow between Emanuele and the osteopath Susanna.

Milla decides to divorce Walter and asks Cesare for help, while continuing the investigation into Adriana's death with Evelina. Pancotti appears to have an alibi, but a discovery reveals the identity of the true lover. Meanwhile, Flaminia and Emanuele grow closer, and Evelina finds the courage to change.

The discovery of Adriana's last secret love brings a new lead to light. Meanwhile, after the failed sale, the factory workers protest, but Walter devises a solution.

Evelina and Milla create the "Balenine," a new pasta for children that could save the pasta factory. Meanwhile, Flaminia accepts a new job and Emanuele changes his mind about dance thanks to her. Riccardo chooses Evelina, but old returns and unresolved feelings threaten to upset the balance.
