Now, more benefit tenants than ever before are renting privately, and as austerity cuts and changes to the benefits system bite, lettings agencies specialising in housing benefit are feeling the pressure. In South Yorkshire, Andrew and Allen manage over 600 properties. Rushing to the scene of a police raid, they're shocked to discover one tenant has turned their property into a large cannabis factory. In Doncaster, private landlord Rod Bloor decides to evict all 160 of his benefit tenants in response to the local council holding up their housing benefit claims.
