A lawyer takes on a controversial case involving the funds of a halfway house, and disappears; Frank Cannon is called upon to investigate and find the missing lawyer, as he is diabetic and can die without his medicine.

A couple hire Cannon to get their son out of a Turkish prison. A young man is persuaded to extort his own father for $50,000 but his father is found to be bankrupt; Frank Cannon is called upon to investigate the disappearance of the money, which may or may not be connected to drugs.
