Ukrainian forces say they control an area of Russia larger than Los Angeles following a shocking incursion earlier this month. Ian Lee got an inside look at how Ukraine's troops were able to enter Russia. At least two people have died as a result of flash flooding that hit Connecticut and other parts of the Northeast. Parts of New Jersey and New York's Long Island were also hit hard. Nikki Battiste reports. The Democratic National Convention began Monday as thousands of delegates arrived in the city. The convention follows a weekend bus tour of western Pennsylvania for Vice President Kamala Harris, as both she and former President Trump are campaigning heavily in the key battleground state. Ed O'Keefe reports. President Biden and first lady Dr. Jill Biden are set to speak Monday at the DNC, but they won't be heard from again after that. At least one person has died. Phil Donahue, the daytime talk show legend who pioneered the participation of the live studio audience, has died. He was 88.
