President Trump has sent National Guard troops to California amid ongoing unrest in Los Angeles without California Gov. Gavin Newsom's permission. Mr. Trump cited a rarely used provision in the U.S. Armed Forces Code, while Newsom accused the president of trying to "manufacture a crisis." Taurean Small reports. The National Guard has joined the search for Travis Decker, a man accused of killing his three yound daughters, in central Washington state. CBS affiliate KIRO-TV's Brooke Griffin reports. This weekend saw yet another deadly shooting near an aid distribution center in the Gaza strip. Witnesses say those killed were shot by Israeli soldiers, but Israeli officials claim only warning shots were fired. Elizabeth Palmer has more. Carlos Alcaraz came back from two sets down and fought off three championship points to take home the men's singles title at Roland Garros. He defeated world No. 1 Jannik Sinner. Ed, the pet zebra that got loose a week ago, has been caught in Tennessee.

Based on Martha Wells' book series The Murderbot Diaries, an action-packed story about self-hacking security android who is horrified by human emotion yet drawn to its vulnerable clients. Murderbot must hide its free will and complete a dangerous assignment when all it really wants is to be left alone to watch futuristic soap operas and figure out its place in the universe.
