When a fugitive from the US is captured, Ali investigates his claims that he killed two girls in Canada. If she proves his claim, he will serve life in a Canadian prison; if not, he will be extradited to face the death penalty in California.

A snuff film is found hidden in Bernice's apartment building and the squad tries to find the people involved.

Ali, Mickey, Nicco, and Frank each question a former foster child about a house fire that killed their foster mother 20 years before.

Ali and Frank try to connect the murder of a sex worker in Blood Alley to a serial murderer they investigated years before. Bailey's daughter sees Mickey and Bailey kissing on a crowded sidewalk and confronts them.

After Anita is found murdered, Frank and Nicco take it upon themselves to prove Lance did it, even though, as an active murder case, it is not within their jurisdiction.
