Back for Good
Gemma, living with her three-month-old daughter, sees her formerly estranged mother, Davina, move in. Instead of helping, her mother lives an irritatingly carefree life. Meanwhile, father Malcolm is living back at the bedsit, sleeping on an inflatable bed on the landing. Missing her dad and in a state of despair, Gemma conspires with Malcolm and Derek to hatch a plot to oust Davina.

Pine Cones and Litter
Longing for her old life, Gemma tries reliving a past night out, only to realise she has changed forever and misses Sadie. Malcolm's babysitting night in is upturned by Derek, who ropes Malcolm into helping him exact revenge on his ex-wife. In an attempt to support his friend, whilst keeping Sadie safe from all perceived threats, Malcolm panics when Gemma announces she is coming home early.

It's a Plum
Malcolm surprises Gemma and Sadie with a weekend away. Returning home from living in Spain, Malcolm's estranged dad, Jackie, invites himself along. Worn down by his father's constant jibes and Gemma's disappointment at the holiday, Malcolm calls Derek for help. Between managing Derek's secret addiction and Jackie trying to recruit investors to his business, Malcolm enters the talent contest.

We Don't Like Sigmas
Cherry introduces Gemma and Sadie to Rocky's Rhyme Time, the hottest ticket in town for young mums. Gemma isn't convinced that Rocky is everything Cherry says he is, and they fall out. Gemma tries to make amends, and in doing so, makes an interesting discovery about Rocky. Meanwhile, Jackie takes Malcolm and Derek on a day trip to the Peak District.

I'm Your Man
Going to great lengths to fulfil his dad's wishes, Malcolm still feels he has failed Jackie. Meanwhile, Catherine's plans to conceive a baby with her ex-husband Gary are put into action, but she needs Gemma's help. When a stranger arrives, Gemma is shocked to discover Malcolm's long-held secret.

For Future Reference, Trousers Stay On
Gemma prepares a joint birthday party for Sadie and Malcolm, and Malcolm searches for the perfect present for Sadie. Malcolm and Tommy get to know each other whilst sorting out Jackie's belongings. After months of trying, Gemma finally finds herself in a job interview, only to be thrown by the whole situation. Gemma and Malcolm both have difficult decisions to make.
