In this first episode, the players are in at the deep end when they arrive at a German airport, where nothing is as it seems. So, while the players are eyeing up the competition, are they missing out on valuable clues that could help them later on in the game?

And after a box-load of clues in another mystery location, two players have a difficult choice to make before they get to place their X on the map. But with clues to five different countries and every passenger with their own unique way of approaching the challenge, who will figure out where in the world they really are? And will the players decide to share information, or send each other in the wrong direction?

After a launch full of twists and turns, Rob Brydon's intrepid players continue this adventurous game as they head towards their next Destination X. They're crossing a border and reaching new heights in a series of nerve-racking and heart-stopping challenges, ranging from a majestic beach to one of the most iconic peaks in Europe.

But the trip to the coast is no picnic as Rob poses the players a moral dilemma that really pushes their buttons. Who will give in to temptation to get themselves one step closer to £100,000?

After the back-stabbing challenge, the passengers brave an action-packed escape room in the sky, leading one team to a potentially map-beating advantage. But who can trust who on the bus, and have the players seen enough to figure out where in the world they really are? Will the players decide to share information, or will they send each other in the wrong direction? It's finally dawning on the passengers that this can be a brutal game.

It's all aboard for another leg of the mystery journey around Europe, and this time games master Rob Brydon has even more surprises in store. Not least that the passengers are swapping the X-bus for the Destination X-press – a train that will take them through a whole new country.

Split into two teams, the passengers must embark on a relay race of challenges in order to win the all-important clues. But after having their geography knowledge and their taste buds tested, will the winners be willing to share the clues when they get back on the bus?

Before they even get the chance, another spanner is thrown in the works when Rob brings back some familiar faces. But what does that mean for the bus OGs?

After not one but two shock exits, and some new faces on board, the X-bus crosses yet another border and makes its way to a country famed for music and rolling hills. The new passengers are dumped in at the deep end as host Rob Brydon arranges for everyone to spend a night in a spooky castle. It's a race through the rooms to gather clues and make it to the room with a view to finally see where they actually are. Another challenge high on a hill tests the passengers' memories, and the bus seems even more divided than ever, with the original players closing ranks against their new bus mates.

After leaving a player behind in the land of music and rolling hills, the X-bus now makes its way to one of Europe's biggest winemaking regions and the halfway point on this extraordinary journey. But while host Rob Brydon raises a glass with the passengers, he still has plenty of tricks up his sleeve. In an ancient vineyard, he tests the players' knowledge of each other and reveals who they consider to be their biggest threat. And one lucky player wins a game-changing advantage - the ability to sabotage one of their rivals in the map room.

But as the players make their way closer to Destination X, they also stop off at an ancient walled city to pair up for one more challenge that could win them a valuable clue. Alliances are tested as vital information isn't shared with everyone, and one passenger uses their incredible power - sabotage a teammate and affect their X on the map. But who will they choose?

After taking a swing at one of the biggest players in the game, it's time to reveal who is next to leave the X-bus - and to see if the viewers at home guessed the location of Destination X correctly. For the first time, host Rob Brydon also reveals to everyone on the X-bus where in the world they actually are. That's because the next two days will be spent free of the X-goggles, exploring their beautiful surroundings. And the players' game plans are revealed - who has been keeping secrets from whom?

Off the bus, what should be a pleasant excursion turns into a tense stand-off as the players battle for an advantage in the next challenge. And Rob hosts a masked ball for his passengers - complete with surprise guests who could give the game away as emotions run high.

By the time their minibreak is over, new alliances have formed, and some players now have a clear target on their back. But what none of them are expecting is a brush with local law enforcement.

The X-bus has only just left one destination behind and is already in trouble with the law... or is it? Rob Brydon has plenty more tricks up his sleeve as the players head into a new country on their way towards the next Destination X. Tensions mount as the passengers are given the opportunity to scupper each other in a challenge that will test their memory and their reflexes, as well as their loyalty to each other.

As well as learning who they can trust, the players also need to be sure they can believe their own eyes, as a view from the X-bus windows seems to give the game away, but could this be another devious deception?

After a shock elimination, the X-bus continues its journey towards the £100,000 prize with just five players remaining. Two alliances have formed and plans are being hatched, but the challenges force the passengers to work together in order to win clues - can they play nice? A football challenge tips the players over the edge, and an outing on a lake brings some true feelings to the surface. But ultimately, who has the most clues, and who knows where Destination X really is? This is the last stop before the semi-final...

With just four passengers left on board, the X-bus travels further into Europe and one step closer to that £100,000 prize. After thousands of kilometres, which of the semi-finalists will fall at the last hurdle?

Old alliances are tested as host Rob Brydon puts the remaining players through more devious challenges and has them hunting through mines for clues as well as looking to the stars for an advantage that could push even the strongest players out of the game.

It's the grand final and the last chance for one player to get their hands on £100,000. After weeks on the road, it all comes down to this, but it's not going to be easy. The players will be put to the test as old clues resurface and older rivalries heat up. A monstrous first challenge will give some players an advantage in the race to the final Destination X, but will it be enough? A nail-biting sprint sees a race around one of Europe's most iconic cities – to where X really does mark the spot.
