To protect her father, Amrita continues her job and diverts the SIT to Bokaro. Back in 1984, in the midst of rising communal tensions, Rishi begins tutoring Manu.

The trial begins, and the offender accepts his guilt. But, just before the verdict, a last-minute witness takes the stand and reveals what really happened back in 1984.
