A Mexican bandito, Solomon, takes Paladin and other stage passengers prisoner and tasks Paladin with giving one of them up for killing a local's wife.

Odds for Big Red
When a saloon owner is shot while Paladin takes down a wanted killer, the only person who can save her is her ex-boyfriend... who is betting against her living until sunup.

A Proof of Love
Paladin comes to the aid of Henry Grey, a shy man dominated by his religious mother. Henry paid $237 to bring a free-spirited Greek girl to the States to marry him, but she would rather marry neighboring farmer Rud Saxon than put up with Henry and his dour mother. Henry wants his money back, but Paladin realizes that he wants Callie as well and plays matchmaker.

The Gospel Singer
Paladin is hired to clean out the town of Bugbear. He conducts an anti-gun campaign, and is both helped and hindered by Sister Melissa... who wants him to hand in his gun as well.

The Race
A rancher hires Paladin to ride in a winner-take-all anything-goes Mouli horse race against the local Comanche tribe. The stakes: each sides' respective lands. However, when Paladin accidentally breaks the Comanche rider's arm beforehand, he switches sides and takes the brave's place.

A craniologist, Dr. Leopold Avatar, hires Paladin to take him to a legendary gunman who has killed thirty men in self-defense. Paladin soon discovers that Avatar will do anything to prove his theories.

The Exiles
A general in the Mexican revolutionary army hires Paladin to help him recover bonds from Mexican aristocrats who are holding it for the old Empress.

The Hunt
Paladin is summoned to Oregon to settle a land dispute, but discovers that the whole thing is a set-up by a Russian prince looking for the ultimate prey: an American gunfighter.

Dream Girl
Paladin helps out a lovelorn miner, Buddy Webster, who fell in love with a girl five years ago and has since mined $500,000. Now Buddy plans to marry the girl... unaware that she's a saloon girl and doesn't remember Buddy.
