Get the scoop on the ice cream parlors that boast the most innovative ice cream creations in the country. We go coast to coast and everywhere in between, starting at Black Tap in New York City. Their signature milkshake is the Sweet and Salty, a peanut butter shake, bedazzled with M&M's and peanut butter cups and topped with whipped cream and a Sugar Daddy. A Gelato spot in Manhattan Beach, Calif. makes their famous spaghetti shaped white chocolate gelato sundae, complete with strawberry topping that looks like spaghetti sauce. Which ice cream spots have the frostiest and most fun flavors? In Annandale, Va., we check out Sno Cream, a Thai inspired that serves up a Strawberry and Cookies Sno Cream with every ingredient fresh and made to order. Later in New York City, we head to the totally revolutionary Tipsy Scoop, a "Barlour," that serves up boozy scoops using secret techniques to create a Maple Bourbon Bacon favor that might just leave you a bit loopy. So, show your ID at the door and belly up to the bar! Seven delectable locations will be featured all with a unique and tasty twist on the dessert Americans are obsessed with.
