Wild rainbow trout should not occur in Norwegian nature. It is blacklisted by the Norwegian Environment Agency. Rainbow trout should only be found as farmed fish. Hardy boys Lars and Lars prove that reality is different.

According to local fishermen, sea lice are a growing problem in Western Norway. Since the lice feed on the skin and blood of fish, they harm the fish, especially trout and salmon, which live in saltwater. Lars and Lars have decided to work as investigative journalists and get to the bottom of who is to blame for the increase in sea lice.

In the second episode of Lars and Lars' miniseries "Fjordmenn," the Larsens face closed doors and interview bans. They finally make contact with an outspoken aquaculture consultant and one of the world's leading salmon lice researchers.
