In 1993, Gregory struggles to hold his film together. Everything that can go wrong does; his leading lady isn't there, the Germans want to add a ridiculous hot tub scene, and Valerie refuses to do nudity. Then the sound guy walks off…but luckily, Josh is home and agrees to substitute. Unfortunately, Josh's impromptu job ruins Beth's plan to tell him that she can't marry him - so she leaves the loft/set to hunt down Joe and commiserate about the difficulty of their situation. Athena finally shows up at the set in full diva mode, provoking a catfight with Valeria and forcing Gregory to explode at the entire crew and call it a day. After everyone clears out, Athena apologizes for being late and gives him a pep talk, while Gregory reminds her that this film is his only shot at being a director. At the office, Joe's happiness at being made partner is seriously marred by his fear that Carlito is responsible for the stolen computers - and by his failure to find his little brother. He struggle
