A social worker evaluates Cate and Baze and inspects their homes. Meanwhile, Lux's friends express skepticism about her newfound parents and ask her to return to her old life; and Cate's bosses pressure her to deny that she has a child on her radio show.

Rent Uncollected
Baze's parents insist on meeting their granddaughter, so they host a family dinner and also invite Cate's family. Meanwhile, safety issues at Lux's school cause a fearful Cate to transfer Lux to her old alma mater---before consulting Lux on this matter.

Bong Intercepted
Lux gets suspended, so Cate goes to bat for her and speaks with her principal. However, Cate's interference does more harm than good. Meanwhile, Baze is hurt when Cate and Ryan book a radio-station event at a rival bar near his establishment.

Lux tries to make new friends at school by hosting a party at Baze's loft. Meanwhile, Cate grows concerned that she and Lux will never form the easygoing bond that Lux has with Baze.
