Archaeologists explore the life and legacy of Egypt's legendary Warrior Pharaoh, Ramses the Great (or Ramses II). They discover a mass grave near the Ramses Temple at Abydos; investigate the battle strategies of Ramses at Abu Simbel, the Ramesseum at Luxor, and his new capital of Pi-Ramesses; and explore a noble's tomb of the Ramesside period at Draʻ Abu el-Naga.

Tutankhamun's Secret Revolution
Archaeologists uncover the secrets of Tutankhamun's dramatic religious reforms. Rejecting the Atenism established by his father, Akhenaten, he reestablished the old religion, restoring the old Egyptian gods headed by Amun. He rebuilt ancient Egypt's religion completely, reestablishing Karnac with its temples, priests, and religious rites. It was a complete religious counter-revolution. Excavations include tombs at the Dra' Abu El-Naga necropolis near Luxor and a temple near Hermopolis Magna.
