Eugène, Madeleine's father who hated his son-in-law and considered him responsible for the death of his beloved daughter, is also questioned. To resolve this investigation with multiple ramifications, Marianne will take an interest in the strange Katia, the talented embalmer who was responsible for reconstructing Madeleine's body.

The trawler L'Immortelle, which disappeared nine years ago with five fishermen on board, has finally been found.
