Alex muss sich eingestehen, dass ihr Daniels Beziehung zu Angie schwer zu schaffen macht. So sehr sie sich auch dagegen wehrt: Sie ist in Daniel verliebt. Der einzige Ausweg aus der Gefühlsmisere scheint eine radikale Rückbesinnung auf die eigene Unabhängigkeit zu sein. Wild entschlossen, wieder zu ihrer gewohnten Härte zurückzufinden, geht Alex erst einmal allen Beziehungen und Freundschaften aus dem Weg. Claudia spürt, dass Alex diesmal tatsächlich auf Distanz geht, und beschließt, neue Freundinnen zu finden. Eine Freundin alleine kann Alex natürlich nicht ersetzen und so wählt Claudia gleich drei Mitschülerinnen aus, mit denen sie - zunächst ganz begeistert - ihre Zeit verbringt. Kaum hat Claudia den Schock, von Alex verlassen worden zu sein, verkraftet, wartet schon der nächste Hammer auf sie: Carsten hat eine neue Freundin - Lydia! Hendrik und Anke sind wegen Alex' Zustand ernsthaft besorgt.
