Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who played Theo Huxtable for eight seasons on "The Cosby Show," drowned in Costa Rica, according to authorities there. In a statement, investigators said Warner was swept away by a powerful ocean current and was rescued by bystanders but was pronounced dead at the scene. NBC News' Chloe Melas reports. It was a case that gripped the nation. The 1979 kidnapping and murder of six-year-old Etan Patz. A new federal appeals court ruling says the man convicted should get a new trial or go free. NBC News' Stephanie Gosk reports. A fighter jet from the Bangladesh air force crashed into a school building, killing at least 20 people including students, teachers and the pilot. First responders scrambled to try and pull people out after the crash, which happened in the middle of the afternoon while classes were in session. NBC News' Richard Engel reports. Officials from the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry said at least 100 people were killed when Israeli soldiers fired at a food distribution site. Israel disputed the casualty figures and said that IDF soldiers fired warning shots to respond to an immediate threat. NBC News' Matt Bradley reports. The FAA and the Air Force are investigating a very close call over North Dakota on Friday when a B-52 bomber and a Delta Airlines regional jet nearly collided in the skies over Minot. The sheriff's department involved has released officer-worn body camera videos from the same incident. All of it is reigniting questions about police tactics. NBC News' Marissa Parra reports. The Erie Seawolves, a minor league team, won a contest for a total rebrand courtesy of comedian John Oliver and his HBO show Last Week Tonight. NBC News' Erin Mclaughlin was on hand for the minor league team's first at bat as the Moon Mammoths and caught up with John Oliver to talk about the team's temporary makeover and the new mascot, Fuzz.
