It's Charley's birthday and the rest of the family gives a surprise party for him. Everyone wishes the old gent a happy 60th birthday - but Charley insists he's only 59.

All three generations are confined to the house by a downpour. Keeping everybody entertained becomes a problem.

A series of quarrels with Barney convinces Mildred that she needs to get away from it all. She's all set to leave her husband - as soon as she finds her wedding ring.

Mildred for President
"Mildred for President" is the household cry. Even Barney wants his wife to run for the women's club office - he thinks the publicity will be good for his plumbing business.

Big Night Out
Barney and Mildred are planning a "Big Night Out" with a business client, and the grandparents and the young folks will have to sit this one out. Dick and Penny have the impression that the plans are a cover-up for a surprise party in their honor.

Dick's TV Debut
Because of his weather-bureau experience, Dick is asked to become a television weather man.

The Tycoons
The ladies of the family are getting tired of housework, and decide to make their lives more interesting by opening their own business - a maternity shop.

My Country Club 'Tis of Thee
Barney has been planning to surprise Dick with a membership in his country club, but now he fears the plan won't work out - there's a business rival on the membership committee who may try to blackmail Dick.
