On the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War, Guy Martin explores the past, present and future of the country. He sees how Vietnam is still dealing with the effects of the controversial conflict, and how it is planning a hi-tech future. Guy charts the history of the war by riding his motorcycle down the famous Ho Chi Minh Trail and visits a Huey helicopter graveyard at an abandoned American combat base.

Episode 2
Guy Martin explores Vietnam's fields and factories to see how the single-party state is also fast becoming an industrial powerhouse and the world's next high-tech workshop. Guy lives alongside Vietnamese workers, from a 4.30am shift in the floating markets to a high-speed test drive of a new electric vehicle made in a virtually automated car plant.
