He sees how Vietnam is still dealing with the effects of the controversial conflict, and how it is planning a hi-tech future. Guy charts the history of the war by riding his motorcycle down the famous Ho Chi Minh Trail and visits a Huey helicopter graveyard at an abandoned American combat base.

Guy Martin explores Vietnam's fields and factories to see how the single-party state is also fast becoming an industrial powerhouse and the world's next high-tech workshop. Guy lives alongside Vietnamese workers, from a 4.30am shift in the floating markets to a high-speed test drive of a new electric vehicle made in a virtually automated car plant.
