Piste noire - Season 1

Season 1

Episodes

Épisode 1
Boris Arnoux, international ski champion and darling of Les Clairies, returns to the village to spend the Christmas holidays after winning an international downhill race. Charlotte, his wife, organized a party at the Isba hotel to celebrate his victory. During the party, a caravan catches fire in a seasonal camp below the resort. In the rubble, we find a charred body as well as €150,000 in cash. Émilie Karras, a young gendarme from Lyon Research Service, is in charge of the investigation in collaboration with Major Servoz, gendarme from Les Clairies. Also from the village, she has no desire to drag on in this resort filled with bad memories for her.

Épisode 2
Thanks to the investigation of Émilie and Major Servoz, the body of the caravan is identified. He is an employee of the Isba, the hotel of Boris Arnoux, the champion of the Clairies. But where does the €150,000 come from? The drug trafficking trail is favored by Émilie and Servoz, who trap the station dealer who is none other than Baptiste Montfort, Émilie's younger brother. She has no choice but to take her own brother into custody. From then on, it is the violence of her father and the terrible silences of her mother that Émilie will have to confront. In complete disarray, Émilie must nevertheless assume her role of policeman but also of divorced mother, and urgently settle the actions of a group of enraged environmentalists against the town hall's real estate project under the leadership of Alexia Maldini.

Épisode 3
The investigation is at a standstill because Fauvel, the main suspect to whom the €150,000 belonged, managed to escape to Switzerland without Émilie being able to question him. Is this money really linked to drug trafficking? After a thunderous argument with her ex, Émilie picks up her son Théo for the Christmas holidays. Theo discovers that his mother hid the existence of his grandparents from him and does not understand why she left Les Clairies twelve years earlier. At 3,000 meters above sea level, developer Grégory Jourdan and his Russian partner Tatiana Levsky observe the sabotage of the construction site of their luxury real estate project. It is probably the young ecological activist Alexia Maldini who is responsible for the damage. The mayor of Les Clairies, Florence Clairevoix, is summoned by Jourdan to put an end to the actions of these troublemakers, otherwise he will withdraw from the project...

Épisode 4
Émilie is furious with Major Servoz's brigade, because requests to intervene in Switzerland to question Fauvel are not progressing. Are the €150,000 found in the caravan really linked to the drug trade that is invading the resort? She ended up convincing Servoz to request the opening of an investigation into the legality of the building permits issued by the town hall for the construction of Clairies 3000. Questioned by the gendarmes, Florence Clairevoix, the mayor, felt that the noose was tightening around from her and asks for help from the promoter Grégory Jourdan, who refuses and even threatens. Cornered by Jourdan, Clairevoix empties her office at the town hall and leaves in a hurry…

Épisode 5
The mayor is found dead following a fall from the Clairies bridge. Servoz, in shock, absolutely does not believe in the thesis of a banal accident. He makes Emilie listen to the last message he received from Florence: she felt in danger. Definitely, everything brings them back to the Clairies 3000 project and Émilie and Servoz decide to question Jourdan. Émilie tries in vain to reach Alexia, who has suddenly disappeared! She does not know that Alexia has been the victim of an attack, a clear message of intimidation which has only the opposite effect: her desire to derail the real estate project is all the more determined! Émilie discovers photos where Boris takes cocaine the evening of the fire. Has the champion been blackmailed?

Épisode 6
Everything accuses Boris, who takes refuge in silence. Unlike Servoz, Émilie does not believe in the full guilt of Boris, who admits to having fought with the seasonal worker – but he did not kill him! But then, who set fire to the caravan? An emergency call interrupts them: Alexia and a highly organized group have taken possession of the site at 3,000 m. They rallied the press to denounce the corruption of the town hall and the ecological disaster of the project. Émilie and Servoz rush to the spot to witness a show of force by the group of ecologists. Everyone is still unaware that the construction site invaded in a joyful disorder will become the arena of a dramatic end, a settling of accounts as much family as legal...
