After their lives are upended by tragedy in late 1970s Moscow, two CIA wives are thrust into a shadowy new world as they begin their journey as undercover operatives in the Soviet Union.

Bea and Twila begin their official training. Bea becomes a handler for a Soviet technician named Sasha and attracts the attention of a dangerous KGB officer, Andrei. Meanwhile, Twila's assignment to entertain a businessman leads her to uncover a much deeper conspiracy.

Bea strengthens her cover on a date with Andrei; Twila dives into an off-the-books investigation of‬ ‭a string of sex worker murders.

Twila runs her first asset, a Russian fixer named Vera who holds secrets regarding the deaths of their husbands. As Bea's bond with her asset Sasha grows, she faces increasing danger. 

In a bold and risky move, Bea enlists an unlikely ally to pose as Vera. However, what initially seems like a victory for the mission may actually be a trap set by their adversaries.

As dark truths about her late husband surface, Bea struggles to maintain her cover with the dangerous KGB officer Andrei. Meanwhile, Twila goes undercover at a local hotel to gather further intelligence.

A high-stakes stakeout across Moscow pushes both Bea and Twila to their physical and emotional limits. Their investigation finally reveals a devastating truth: there is a mole operating inside the American Embassy.

In the season finale, Manya reunites with an old friend and makes a shocking discovery. As the danger peaks, Bea, Twila, and Sasha are forced to flee the city, finally uncovering the secret behind Andrei's swift rise within the KGB.
