After their lives are upended by tragedy in late 1970s Moscow, two CIA wives are thrust into a shadowy new world as they begin their journey as undercover operatives in the Soviet Union.

Bea and Twila begin their official training. Bea becomes a handler for a Soviet technician named Sasha and attracts the attention of a dangerous KGB officer, Andrei. Meanwhile, Twila's assignment to entertain a businessman leads her to uncover a much deeper conspiracy.

Backstreets
Bea strengthens her cover on a date with Andrei; Twila dives into an off-the-books investigation of a string of sex worker murders.

Don't Go Breaking My Heart
Twila runs her first asset, a Russian fixer named Vera who holds secrets regarding the deaths of their husbands. As Bea's bond with her asset Sasha grows, she faces increasing danger.
