In this first episode of the new series, Alexis learns more about the beloved burger, with some brilliant insights from the brains behind the super-successful chain Honest Burgers. Later, takeaway lovers Natalie and Conor try to make their own perfect sushi at home.

Alexis Conran investigates pizza and finds out how the best in the business create their bases, with help from the experts one of Britain's fastest-growing pizza chains. Alexis also cracks the secret to making fried chicken, and there's an attempt to make a perfect Chinese takeaway.

Katsu Curry, Falafel, Mexican
Alexis Conran delves into the flavours of Japan, Mexico and the Middle East. First, Alexis sees if he can whip up a chicken katsu faster than one can be delivered via an app, and fast food lovers Sam and Ashleigh learn how to make a hot Mexican sauce for a perfect fajita from a major Mexican restaurant supplier. Later, Alexis also tries to overcome his long-held indifference to the humble falafel.

Pizza, Sweet & Sour, Fried Chicken
Alexis Conran steps behind the scenes at a brand of KFC, as he looks to uncover the secrets behind the famous breadcrumb coating that gives KFC's chicken its distinctive taste. Later, Alexis is given access to a top London Thai restaurant to learn the secrets to making a perfect, authentic tom yum soup, before joining resident food scientist Dr Chris to help him try to crack the ingredients as he seeks to re-create a well-liked Domino's dish.
