DIY enthusiast Richard and his wife Carrie must make their virtually empty house warm and inviting. Susan and Hamnet get a lesson in design, as they attempt to bring style and texture to their chaotic bedroom and lounge. And Paul and Shirley turn their daughter's massage parlour back into a bedroom.

In Essex, Barrie and Janet tackle their frumpy front room, Robert's semi gets some much-needed attention, and Joanne changes her home from stark to cosy.
