Ben Shephard presents as 14 people from all walks of life come together to attempt to climb one of New Zealand's highest peaks and win a share £200,000. With their progress tracked by the menacing Mountain's Keeper, they have just 14 days to make the 100km journey across treacherous terrain and perilous crossings. Pub landlady Miranda must face her fears and prove she is not slowing the group down, while self-styled 'shark' Dockers singles out his competition and makes an early bid to be a leader. The Mountain's Keeper then tests the group's resolve to get to the summit by forcing them to make a brutal decision, causing tensions to boil over in a dramatic fallout that leaves the team divided.

The fallout from the brutal bridge chop, which saw the mountain claim its first victim, is still simmering as construction manager Dockers is singled out as a game-player and not to be trusted.
