Mehr Schwein als Sein
Carlo Brenner, a provincial teenager from Upper Swabia, is a real idiot: barely any life experience, but an arsenal of nonsensical ideas. After graduating from high school, that's supposed to change. In theory. Because Carlo's knack for mishaps turns his plans upside down: After the graduation party, he offers his crush Pia a ride home. His father, who feared for the safety of their beloved classic car, had expressly forbidden this. A disaster waiting to happen. Hintervorderbach is a small village deep in Upper Swabia. After graduating from high school, Carlo and his two best friends Aydin and BlaBla finally have the big, wide world at their fingertips. But what will they do with it? Carlo's crush Pia already has a goal: work and travel in Australia. Quite suddenly, Carlo - much to the astonishment of his parents Rainer and Sabine - wants to use his newfound freedom to follow her to Down Under. But Carlos' fatal decision to drive via Bixenweiler after the graduation party – sober, but fully loaded with Aydin,

Der Gott des Geschnetzels
Carlo Brenner had imagined the summer after graduating from high school differently: instead of work and travel in Australia, he's doing work without travel in his parents' restaurant. A big party was supposed to take place at the "Gasthaus zum Bären" in Hintervorderbach in Upper Swabia, but Sabine and Rainer had to cancel at short notice due to a breakdown. Carlo's doing, of course. But instead of canceling, he sensed an opportunity. Perhaps this was a way to curry favor with his father, to whom he owes money? Instead of celebrating with his friends Aydin and BlaBla at the "Rock am Ding" festival, Rainer insisted that Carlo do his work at the in-house industrial dishwasher.

Papa (T)ante Sportplatz
Carlo finally has a date with Pia! But first, he has to accompany his aunt Gabi, whom he owes a favor, to a mysterious meeting, where he unexpectedly receives some dating tips. Gabi is meeting up with Gunnar, with whom she had a relationship 18 years ago. Before he turned out to be married. Because she wanted to get back at him back then, she "suddenly" became pregnant. Now Gunnar finally wants to meet "his son". Carlo is actually looking forward to his first date with Pia at the "India Grillhouse," but Gabi demands a favor from him beforehand: Carlo is supposed to meet his father that day. Aha? Carlo always knew he wasn't his parents' son! Shortly afterwards, Gabi sets the record straight. After an affair with the pilot, she faked a pregnancy for him out of financial necessity and a little bit of revenge, and collected a tidy sum of money for her child support.

1000 Jahre Hintervorderbach
The celebration of the millennium is taking place in Hintervorderbach. For Carlo, it's his chance to confess his feelings to Pia. But the party has passed faster than he can say "Tschappel". With Pia's departure to Australia imminent, Carlo wants to impress Pia. At first, this works, as he is treated like a VIP in the festival tent. But bar manager Veronika and security guard Berg catch him with fake drink menus. These were supposed to be Aydin, BlaBla, and Carlo's masterpiece, but this time their hatched Tschappel plan goes completely wrong. Carlo is escorted to the front of the festival tent, and that's the end of his party for the time being. Because the security guard is not to be trifled with. To Carlo's dismay, the sleazy Timo also makes a move on his Pia. Frustrated, they head back to the "Bären", where regular customer Konne and Carlo's aunt Gabi are spending the evening bowling.

Das nullte Mal
Carlo has fallen into a deep hole. Pia is gone, and he's stuck in Hintervorderbach, working at the "Bären". BlaBla and Aydin want to distract their friend. A party is needed! Disguised as a surprise party for their friend Matze, they lure Carlo to the trailer. As the barman, he's supposed to take over the cocktail preparation, primarily to increase the proportion of female guests. But the plan is only half complete. Ingredients are missing. Because his mom Sabine, although she's gift-wrapping the pack of condoms for Matze, won't let him take the alcohol from the "Bären" bar, Carlo has to go back to the gas station in Hintervorderbach. There he meets the saleswoman Melissa. Things quickly click between the two, even though Carlo is still a bit grumpy and his debit card isn't working, so he can't pay for his expensive purchase.

Oben ohne, Down Under
The heatwave has Hintervorderbach in Upper Swabia firmly in its grip. But there's no way for the three friends Carlo, BlaBla, Aydin, and Aunt Gabi to cool off. Because the air conditioning in the Brenners' inn has broken down and the refrigeration technician is on vacation, the boys are desperately searching for a pool. BlaBla's idea of turning his farm's manure pit into one is initially met with dissatisfaction. The trio's painful experience is that BlaBla's ideas rarely succeed. Full of energy, BlaBla nevertheless enthusiastically develops the vision of "HintervorderBEACH" and first organizes the sale of the manure to farmer Pius. Aydin is fascinated: shit really does turn into money! The sand for a beach is bought by the same Pius, who immediately reserves his spot by the pool.

Der BlaBla-Mein-Dorf-Komplex
When Gabi decides to leave Hintervorderbach, Carlo fears he'll be stuck in his parents' house forever. It's time for a revolt! He starts his first shared apartment. Carlo is seized by the spirit of revolution and is determined to move out. If Gabi can do it, so can he! Even if their current plans for the future are very different, Carlo naturally wants to live with BlaBla and Aydin. He also knows where. In Hintervorderbach, there is only one property they can afford: the abandoned and vacant demolition house of a former Nazi, secretly known as "SS-Heinz". They first get a crowbar for the "apartment viewing," which brings their curious and vigilant neighbor Veronika into the picture. The three boys quickly realize that the building is in a miserable state, but their desire for freedom and self-determination prevails.

Der Tag, als Carlo Brenner starb
When a cult-like Hintervorderbach resident passes away, Carlo must help his friends carry out the man's wishes. Not exactly legally, of course. Summer in Upper Swabia is drawing to a close when Konne, a regular customer at the bar of the "Bären", meets his fate. While the village community mourns at the Brenners' inn, Konne's friends Hartmut and Roberto try to remove the body from the village. They want to pay their last respects to the deceased. Carlo stumbles upon the two elderly men in the "Bären" cold storage cellar, almost by chance. They have hidden Konne's body there and are in the process of loading him into their car. Before he knows it, Carlo has to lend a helping hand. Carlo's curious mother, Sabine, is surprised by the "drunk" her son brings to the car. Was Edi from Fricker even at the wake? During the drive, the two strangers explain the situation.
