In the kitchens of a large Parisian restaurant, Chef Vitali is arrested. A hand has just been discovered in the cold room. But Julia is wary of this scenario that too easily accuses the chef. This dismembered body, after identification, will lead our investigators to the tracks of a televised cooking competition. A story of a poisoned dish? Or a simple fantasy intended to discredit a chef? Just as Julia and Novak solve this investigation, their daughter Emma bursts into the Homicide unit. Angry, she claims to be sent by a friend of Julia's who told her everything about her past, and she doesn't want her biological parents involved in her life. Julia is stunned and asks for the identity of this friend, who turns out to be Malherbe. After a wave of panic, Julia and Novak immediately place Emma under police protection. But Malherbe is everywhere, and Emma disappears...
