Jean-Louis Trintignant est un garçon austère et introverti. Il est marié, aime les grands textes et la musique classique. Brigitte n'est pas emballée par ce partenaire glacial et si loin d'elle. Mais, sous les yeux de toute l'équipe, et de Vadim derrière sa caméra, une attraction insidieuse s'opère entre les deux jeunes gens...
