Matthew, determined to stop Rosemary being buried next to Tom gets Carl & Jimmy to help him fill in the grave but is taken away by police, He returns later on with a dustbin lorry. Perdy tells Grayson that she wants a divorce.

Ross's two-timing antics continue with Chas and Lexi, while Ashley is left feeling guilty after a roof tile falls off the church and injures Alan. Katie comforts an upset Gray after Perdy tells him she's filing for divorce.

Chas and Lexi argue over Ross as they realise they've been lying to each other about dating the policeman following their new year's pact.

Carrie gets a very disappointing response from Jimmy after telling him she loves him. Chas and Lexi tell Ross they forgive him and the police try to catch the Dingles out.

Carrie ends her relationship with Jimmy when she realises her love is not reciprocated. Jonny's high-impact dance class doesn't go down well and Chas humiliates Ross.

Jo is overwhelmed by Andy's surprise on their wedding day, but her happiness is short-lived when the groom is summoned to court for sentencing. Jonny and Marlon hold their first health club meeting.

When the pain of her arthritis starts to affect her dancing skills, Lily goes to Eli for drugs. Gossip continues about Nicola's marriage, while Rodney and Donald begin to bond

After sleeping rough with Daz, Scarlett reveals to Jimmy that she doesn't want to move to Canada. Donald arrives in the village and heads straight to the Woolpack with his wife.

Nicola shocks David when she reveals the lengths she will go to for Donald's money. Paul and Diane worry about Val's eyesight problems and Victoria grows suspicious of Scarlett and Daz.

David asks Nicola to end her marriage, but when she visits her husband he asks her to give it another go. Viv discovers that Bob can't dance and Donna gets teased at work.

Jonny accidentally reveals Val's secret to the other dance contestants, and in a panic she rushes off to the car - but events take a tragic turn when she fails to notice Samson in the road.

Viv is intent on evicting Debbie and Eli so bribes Shadrach to get them out of the house. Perdy decides to spend more time with Katie, and Donald convinces Nicola to take the day off work.

Debbie tries to raise the funds to buy her house from Viv. Eli offers Sam some work when he is late with his rent and Jasmine gets a visit from Miles.

Sam does some more work for Eli but is shocked to discover he has been delivering drugs for his cousin. Carl grows tired of never being allowed to make decisions about the business.

Sam is arrested for possession of drugs when a package falls out of his car while giving a lift to Ross. Carl is incensed when Matthew goes over his head on a business decision.

After a night in the cells, Sam decides to tell the police about Eli running the drugs operation. Lily confesses her involvement to Edna and is also arrested following a house raid. Mel confides in Jack about her marriage.

Sam gets a visit from social services and is told he could lose his son if he doesn't accept help. Donna defends her actions and Edna discovers Pearl has taken Lily to the airport.

Lisa and Zak are told they may have to apply for custody of Samson to stop him being taken into care. Donna arrests Val when an argument about smoking in the pub spirals out of control.

Katie is mistaken for Gray's girlfriend. After the pair enjoy a shared moment she begins to hope he returns her feelings. Zak and Lisa worry about Sam, while Duke makes a decision.

Sam continues to ignore his family's offer of help and begins to feel railroaded by Zak and Lisa. Terry and Duke struggle to express their feelings and Katie has her first scan.

Sam does a runner with Samson. Sandy has a minor health scare. Val frets over her hospital appointment.

The police continue searching for Sam while Shadrach confesses his role in his disappearance to a furious Zak. Val upsets Diane by comparing her cataracts to her sister's cancer.

Pollard suggests to Zak and Lisa that they launch a TV appeal to find Sam. Gray tells Diane he is starting to feel very close to Katie, and Val volunteers to take part in a charity fundraiser.

Katie is left embarrassed after Gray pulls away from her kiss - prompting him to reveal that he is being blackmailed by Perdy. Andy receives the documents for his wedding to Jo.

Diane offers Gray relationship advice and Miles tells Donald he's seen his wife frolicking in the barn with David. Val is pressured to tell Viv she can't take part in the charity event.

Carrie informs Lexi of her plans to move to Canada with Scarlett, but Lexi has a plan to keep Scarlett - and her inheritance - in the village. Miles is shocked when Donald lets Nicola stand down as his nurse.

Jimmy hears surprising news from the solicitor concerning Scarlett, a guard has to intervene when Charlie and Andy become aggressive, and Val takes advantage of Pollard's generosity.

Debbie is shaken by a letter about Sarah's adoption, and confides in Carl the reasons for giving up her baby. Victoria bonds with new farmhand Jake, and Chas has a warning for Scarlett.

he solicitor reveals who will be Scarlett's trustee, leaving Jimmy and Lexi reeling in disbelief. A downhearted Victoria returns from court with a referral order, and snaps at Daz.

Katie's surrogacy is made public after a row in the Woolpack between the King brothers. Chas finds out about Lexi and Carl, and Jonny discovers the wedding venue has been destroyed.

Samson's health deteriorates prompting Sam to call Marlon for help and when the young father is eventually convinced to hand himself in he ends up arrested for armed robbery. Scarlett grows closer to Debbie and Carl makes a decision about his future.

Sam explains to the police his version of events about the armed robbery, and when David supports his story he is released. Andy attacks a fellow prisoner after being teased about Jo.

Nicola plots to kill Donald and asks David to help her. Val and Rodney present their wedding ideas to Jonny and Paul, and Jo tries to raise some enthusiasm for her prison wedding.

David rushes to stop Nicola murdering Donald and is horrified to find broken glass and blood at Holdgate. Sandy tells Ashley his plan to leave and Jo opens up to Ross.

Jo puts on a brave face as her wedding day approaches, while Val and Louise make plans for a special hen night. David reassures Nicola that her scheme to murder Donald has his backing.

Jo and Andy's wedding day arrives, and Laurel and Jack try to make it a very special occasion. Jasmine seeks a second job in order to pay her rent and Bob asks Viv to employ Mel.

Bob stands up to Viv by refusing to work on his day off and telling her to hire Mel. Jo tries to obtain permission to see Andy, while Jake accuses her of sleeping with Charlie.

Laurel is left without a babysitter and she is forced to take Daniel into work. Mel is nervous when she realises that she'll be doing her first shift with Viv.

Laurel struggles to cope with Daniel's death, while Ashley wonders if Gabby should be sent to stay with her mother Bernice. Perdy grows suspicious of Katie and Gray's relationship.

The bishop visits Ashley and leads him in prayer, while Laurel struggles to hide her contempt for his faith. Val discovers the empty wedding account and Perdy reveals all to Katie.

Laurel storms off to the cafe and accuses Viv of using Daniel's death for her own gain. Greg comforts Laurel. Louise is hoping for a proposal from Jamie.

Katie returns from hospital and is confronted by Perdy, who reveals all about Gray's sexuality. Victoria and Diane start to build bridges, and Paul asks his parents to stop arguing.

Jo struggles to run the farm in Jack's absence and rages at Diane when she offers her help. Nicola notices David is distracted, while the De Souzas give the Kings some competition.

Jo expresses her regret about losing her temper with Diane and is caught off guard when Victoria speaks in her step-mother's favour. Donald makes Carl a surprise offer.

Paul and Jonny's wedding day finally arrives but when the feuding between Rodney and Val continues the pair decide to go to a register office instead. The Kings bribe Pollard.

Pollard meets up with Rosalind at a hotel - and a camera captures a kiss between the pair. Nicola's murderous plan for Donald backfires and Paul wants some time alone with Jonny.

Eric is shocked when Rosalind receives pictures of them kissing, accompanied by a note demanding 5,000 pounds. Hilary presses ahead with Daniel's funeral arrangements.

Laurel and Ashley both struggle to cope on the morning of Daniel's funeral. Jo is shocked to see Charlie on her way to the funeral and warns him to take his stuff and leave. Elsewhere, Doug is a broken man following Daniel's funeral so Pearl offers him some support.

Jake urges Jo to call the police when Charlie decides to move in - but it leads to another vicious attack. Edna learns Lily has returned and Sam tries to reconnect with his family.

Jimmy demands the rent arrears from Jo for Butler's Farm. Viv puts up her prices to raise money for her cot-death charity, while Shadrach vows to go 24 hours without alcohol.

Jo tries to leave to attend Andy's appeal. Debbie waits in the getaway car whilst Chas and Charlie enter the supposedly empty club. Meanwhile, Sam is in a bind when Chas isn't around to babysit Samson and a hungover Shadrach offers to look after him.

Jamie prepares to propose to Louise but her mind is elsewhere - and soon the whole relationship is in doubt. Jimmy suggests to Matthew that they sell the refuse trucks to Carl.

Louise thinks Jamie is about to dump her so beats him to the punch - but he tells her about his plan to propose. Nicola seduces David, and Lily opens up about her drug use.

David sees Nicola tampering with Donald's train set and begs her to rethink her plan. Viv confides in Mel and asks her to keep a secret, while Rodney makes an admission.

Donald gives Nicola a golden opportunity to kill him while they are out for a walk on the moors. Chas and Debbie hatch a plan to fool Charlie and Matthew goes back on his word.

Debbie waits in the getaway car while Chas and Charlie enter the club, but things go horribly wrong when Charlie reveals he has a gun and holds the bar manager hostage.

Val organises a party for Andy's homecoming - but his happiness is short-lived when he finds out about Charlie. Ashley struggles to keep his cool when Laurel snaps at Gabby.

Ashley begs Laurel to return home and is stunned when she refuses. Jo explains to Andy about the surprise party, while Donna receives apologies from both Shane and Charlotte.

Viv attempts to track down Freddie, refusing to believe he was a con-man. Debbie tries to embarrass Scarlett and Daz, while Gray decides not to tell Perdy about Katie's next scan.

Katie and Gray learn the sex of the baby, but Perdy is furious when she finds out. Viv and Bob report Freddie to the police and Debbie goes behind Andy's back to see Sarah.

A suspicious Andy manages to get Jo to reveal Sarah's real whereabouts. Elsewhere, an angry Perdy is let out of her prison cell.

Shadrach reveals a secret to Laurel after meeting her by Daniel's grave. Jo makes up an excuse for the bruise on her face, and Katie and Gray go public with their relationship.

Shadrach is persuaded by Laurel to search for his daughter, but worries about Chas's reaction to his news. Andy tries to make amends with Jo and Hilary turns up at Ashley's door.

Laurel and Hilary build bridges, while the doctor reveals a possible cause of Daniel's death. Donald and David strike a business deal and Shadrach visits a social worker.

Donna regrets her decision to give Shane a chance when he makes a move on her. Paddy is upset to be on-call at the party and Shadrach is contacted by the adoption agency.

Ross nearly knocks down a girl while he is driving, but fearing he may be over the limit, he asks Paddy to claim responsibility. Donald throws Nicola out and Donna reports Shane.

Paddy learns that the moped rider is in intensive care and fears the worst. Nicola starts to feel the effects of her split with Donald and Shadrach goes to meet Genesis.

Paddy heads to the station to tell the truth about Gennie's accident. Meanwhile, Shane tells Ross to convince Donna not to make the complaint. Louise tries to plan a village show.

Shane threatens Donna about her complaint and blackmails Ross to keep him on his side. Paddy visits Gennie at the hospital and enjoys her company, while Donald spies an opportunity.

Ross witnesses Shane giving Donna a hard time and feels guilty for not backing her up before. Carl and Matthew's feud continues and Daz passes his driving test.

Katie makes a public declaration about her feelings for Gray. Daz and Scarlett go for a drive and make the most of their privacy and Carl dumps rubbish at Home Farm.

Viv proudly hands over a cheque for the money she has raised for the charity, but the police interrupt her speech and arrest her for deception. Gray accuses Katie of snooping.

The police continue to question Viv and fists start to fly between Matthew and Carl. David suggests to Jasmine that they get back together but is humiliated when she turns him down.

Hilary accuses a distraught Viv of using her grandson's memory for profit. Carl assures Donald that he wants nothing to do with Matthew, and Lily and Pearl go speed dating.

Carl looks to hire a PA and Matthew asks Lexi to apply and work as a mole. Hilary's suspicions are aroused when she sees Laurel holding baby Arthur.

Rosemary returns to the village and resolves to move back into Home Farm, resulting in a violent showdown with the King brothers. Also, Perdy is left to babysit the twins; Bob books couples counselling for him and Viv.

Hilary visits the hospital to find out more about Daniel's medical history - and as a result of her enquiries, Ashley and Laurel receive shocking news. Paddy gets a court summons.

Laurel vents her anger on her mother when the doctor reveals it was Hilary who contacted him. Pollard suspects David is the blackmailer and Jasmine and Miles share a kiss.

An investigation into the possible baby swap is launched despite Laurel's insistence that she doesn't want one. Paddy tells Gennie about his court date and Lexi confronts Chas.

Gennie mentions to Paddy that Shadrach reminds her of someone from her youth, before coming face to face with her estranged father. Hilary hears Mel and Greg plan to move away.

Ross admits the truth to Marlon about Shane's behaviour toward Donna, and the pair plot revenge against the shady officer.

Shane delivers a threat to Eli, who proceeds to team up with Marlon to teach him a lesson. Chas is riled by Shadrach's delight at seeing pictures of a youthful Gennie.

A nervous Ross agrees to lure Shane into a trap set by Eli and Marlon. Lexi seeks to impress Carl by drumming up more business, Val tells Diane the Woolpack needs a new look.

Donna is furious when she uncovers Ross and Marlon's scheme to knock Shane down a peg or two. Lexi gains inside information about Carl and Donald's plan to rebrand their company.

TJ is rushed to hospital and diagnosed with an E-coli infection. Matthew fires Jasmine to balance his books and Donna thinks her luck at work has changed when Shane calls a truce.

Environmental Health suggest Jo's cheese may be responsible for the outbreak of E-coli. Gray is visited by Perdy's divorce lawyer and Lily inspires Belle to start her a business.

Gray meets Perdy and is shocked to see where she has been living. Jo and Andy are cleared by Environmental Health after the E-coli outbreak and Eli helps Belle with her business.

Katie is in turmoil when Gray mistakenly calls her Perdy after visiting his wife again. Laurel and Ashley lock horns over what to do about Arthur, and Matthew's car is vandalised.

Hilary runs away with baby Arthur in an attempt to prevent the Dolands leaving, prompting Ashley to drop a bombshell. Zak worries about his job and Gray proposes to Katie.

Pollard wrongly assumes Val is his blackmailer. Mel and Greg are told they need a DNA test at the hospital and Jonny tells Chas and Diane about Katie and Gray's engagement.

Mel and Greg attempt to flee the village with Arthur to avoid the DNA test results. Val is furious when she turns up at the factory and finds Eric mid-discussion with Rosalind.

Hilary decides to leave the village after Laurel tells her she doesn't want baby Arthur in her life. Gennie and her mother bump into a drunken Shadrach.

Gennie explains to Paddy why she snubbed Shadrach. Laurel is horrified to learn the villagers know about the baby swap, and Donna tells Viv there has been no news on Freddie.

Gennie introduces Shadrach to her mother as her biological father. Val bars the Dingles from the Woolpack and Viv creates a wanted poster to help her find Freddie.

Bob worries when Viv starts having nightmares about Freddie. Gennie and her mother visit Shadrach, and Katie is disappointed with the turnout for her engagement party.

Donna and Ross agree to help Viv's search and they go to an empty house belonging to Freddie. Nicola has a disappointingly quiet 30th birthday and her day gets even worse when Paddy lays her off and says Chas is coming back to work. Also, Doug reassures Greg that he has every right to visit Daniel's grave.

Ashley attends the hearing alone and is worried to see his wife with Greg upon his return. Nicola takes an opportunity to help out Paddy, and Viv and Bob are freed on bail.

Viv is devastated when she realises even Bob is questioning her innocence after they are freed on bail. Ashley and Laurel regret going out, and Nicola manipulates Paddy.

Laurel makes a drastic decision after arguing with her dad about Arthur. Shadrach talks to Greg about his experiences with Cain, and Pearl selects a winner for the cruise ticket.

Ashley and Laurel remain at loggerheads as Doug tries to smooth the waters between them. Andy is frustrated with Debbie's presence in Sarah's life and takes his anger out on Jo.

Viv confronts a witness found by her private investigator and Bob begins to doubt his wife. The Dingles steal the pub's furniture as Val prepares for the competition.

Katie is livid when Gray continues to lie to her, so she pays Perdy a visit. Gabby visits Laurel and begs her step-mum to return home and Jo finds a buyer for her goats.

Pollard decides to surprise Val by bringing their wedding forward after he receives a large tax demand. Bob continues to be suspicious of Viv, and Jasmine gets a job at the pub.

Bob gets information about Viv from a witness about a specific date his wife was seen with Freddie. Jimmy confronts Lexi, and Eli damages a delivery for Matthew.

Carl realises he's been double-crossed when he attends Matthew's presentation. Diane is unsure of Pollard's intentions about the wedding, and Zak pulls out all the stops at work.

Zak quits his job when Matthew reveals he will pay Belle's school fees but only after the insurance pays out. Lexi feels guilty about her actions, and Diane rumbles Eric's scheme.

In the 5,000th episode of the soap, Carl realises it was Lexi who double-crossed him. Zak is encouraged by Belle to tell Lisa he has quit, and Pollard chooses his best man.

Lisa struggles to cope at work but is surprised by Pollard's compassion when he gives her some money for lunch. Val's daughter returns, and Jake celebrates his 18th birthday.

Val is kidnapped by the Dingles on her wedding morning after an altercation with Lisa. Also, Marlon is the epitome of stress as he prepares for the judges' arrival.

Laurel still refuses to attend the parental hearing but Ashley gives her a shocking ultimatum. Marlon gets an audition on a TV cookery show, and Andy tells Jo to fire Sam.

Laurel and Ashley are named as Arthur's parents, leaving Mel devastated. Jo is angry with Andy for firing Jake, and Ross becomes jealous when he sees Marlon and Donna together.

Ashley and Laurel take Arthur home while the Dolands are left heartbroken and struggling to cope with their loss. Val agrees to loan David money and Pearl returns from her cruise.

Andy loses his temper when Debbie drops off a present for Sarah at Butler's Farm. Ashley and Doug struggle to comfort Arthur, while Laurel still resists bonding with him.

Jo has a go at Andy for taking his temper out on Sarah's new dolls house. Meanwhile, Greg tells Mel that he's found a buyer for the house and suggests they move to Spain.

Ashley turns to Mel for help with Arthur. Scarlett plans a trip to Canada to spend time with her mum - leaving Lexi feeling alone - and Andy apologises for losing his temper.

Greg is annoyed to discover Mel has visited Arthur. Miles becomes jealous when he sees Jake and Jasmine getting along at the Woolpack, and Nicola spies an opportunity at work.

Jake begins his trial run at the Woolpack, where he and Jasmine start to play pranks on each other. Nicola finds more interest in her services, and Ashley suggests a picnic.

Jasmine ends her relationship with Miles as he continues to be jealous of Jake. Nicola impresses David and Viv is furious when her solicitor tells her to plead guilty.

Nicola enlists David to help with a ferocious Alsatian, but they find themselves locked in the B and B. Louise suggests that she and Jamie buy the shop and cafe.

Marlon enjoys his TV debut, while Donna is left stunned when Ross reveals his feelings for her. David and Nicola go back into business, and Jake tries his luck with a producer.

Donna tells Ross that she loves Marlon but the pair agree to remain friends. Pollard continues to hide his money troubles from Val, and Rodney grows concerned for Gabby.

Pollard admits his money troubles to Val when she cancels the order he was relying on for cash. Gennie tries to live up to her name, and Donna is happy with Marlon's success.

Val tells a shocked Diane she is considering selling her share of the pub to help Eric. Gennie tries to sell Viv a smoothie maker in an attempt to prove her worth as a Dingle.

Eric is forced to break the news to the workers that the factory will have to close - setting off a chain of events that see it go up in smoke. Meanwhile, Jake and Jasmine continue their flirtation, an act that doesn't go unnoticed by Daz.

Carl worries about Donald when he has a funny turn and refuses to go to the hospital. Val accuses Pearl of causing the fire, and the villagers learn about Pollard's plans.

Terry confronts Matthew about the apartment development - warning the businessman he will contest the plans. Marlon is offered a new job, and Carl tells Donald to take it easy.

Marlon and Val argue when the chef learns that they didn't win the Pub of the Year competition. Sam offers to rebuild the factory, and Mel asks Ashley for time with Arthur.

Mel gives Greg an ultimatum when he confronts her about Arthur. Marlon prepares to contact the rival pub about the job offer but Donna urges him to reconsider.

Doug is fearful that Ashley's considering giving Arthur back to the Dolands. Bob and Viv make a decision on guardianship of the twins if they're both sent to jail.

Viv and Bob are stunned by Louise's suggestion she buy their businesses. Gennie worries she'll never be a proper Dingle, and Laurel makes progress with Arthur.

Debbie gets jealous when Eli opts to spend time with Gennie rather than her. Viv tells Louise she'll sell her the business, and Katie informs Gray and Perdy she wants a Caesarean.

Debbie reveals Gennie's scheme to Pollard as jealousy about Eli's friendship with the girl overwhelms her. Lexi asks Donald for her job back and Donna tells Marlon to get a job.

Donald tells Carl about his plans to retire and asks him to be managing director of the company. Diane offers Marlon his old job back and Eli asks Gennie out for lunch.
