Day Eight

Live coverage of the penultimate evening of swimming finals at La Defense Arena and the second night of athletics finals at the Stade de France. Much of the focus on the track will be on the final of the women's 100m, where Jamaica's Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and American Sha'Carri Richardson are among the favourites. The session will also feature the men's shot put final from 6.35, the women's 100m semi-finals from 6.50, the women's triple jump final from 7.20, the 4x400m mixed relay final at 7.55 and the decathlon 1500m at 8.45. There are also four gold medals to be decided in the pool, with Team GB seeking to defend their Olympic title in the mixed 4x100m medley relay at 8.33. There are likely to be fireworks in the men's 100m butterfly at 7.30 as reigning champion Caeleb Dressel attempts to hold onto his crown, while the women's 800m freestyle at 8.09, featuring Katie Ledecky against Ariarne Titmus, promises to be a race for the ages, with the women's 200m individual medley final also taking place at 7.59.
