Episode 1
The series kicks off with a focus on two of the most recent twists on fasting – the 16:8 intermittent fasting diet and Nuut, a meal replacement shake plan.
It will also look at the major diet stories from takeaways to sugar, from fibre to portion control, and hot on the heels of a dry January for some, the first show explores booze. Alcohol is a major factor in the rise of obesity – but can you still have a drink without blowing your diet? Sian investigates some of the very latest low calorie and low alcohol tipples on the market.

Episode 2
In the second episode, two fresh diets are put through their paces in a 28-day value for money road test – the Eat What You Like And Lose Weight For Life cookbook and Noom, an app that has been trending worldwide.
The programme also looks at the latest new diet products to hit the supermarket shelves, to find out which are fleeting fancies and which are future foods worth splashing out on. Sian Williams puts a new super grain, pea milk and a vegetable sheeter to the test. Dr Ranj Singh investigates technology and gadgets that are designed to boost willpower when it comes to dieting - from a state of the art headset to fight food cravings to a low-tech fridge piggy gadget, which oinks when you open the fridge.

Episode 3
In the third episode, two new diets are put through their paces in the programme's 28 day value for money road test. Eat Yourself Healthy, the latest spin on gut health and The Complete Pegan Diet for Beginners, a new diet catchphrase combining Paleo and Vegan approaches. How will these two newcomers rank on the programme's Save Money lb for £ leaderboard?
Previously a diet hit in the 1980s, fibre is trending once again. Dr Ranj investigates whether it's worth jumping on the bandwagon and explores how to get the best fibre for less. Sian Williams looks at the latest veg boxes on the market using fresh and wonky produce before it ends up as waste. Could they be the cheapest and greenest way to get your five a day?

Episode 4
In the fourth episode, Sian Williams investigates what makes chocolate so irresistible and gets the public tucking into the Cadbury's bar which contains 30 per cent less sugar to see if it's as tasty as the original.
The programme is halfway through its 28-day value for money road test and tonight two more diets are put through their paces lb for £.
Under the microscope are The Meal Prepping for Weight-Loss Diet, in which calorie counted meals are all prepared in advance, and The Diabetes Weight-Loss cookbook, road-tested by 44-year-old Sharon who is borderline Type 2 Diabetic.
With impressive weight loss results from both diets, how will they rank on the programme's Save Money lb for £ leaderboard?

Episode 5
In the fifth episode, the programme examines portion sizes. Over the last 25 years portions have increased by 100 per cent, as well as plate sizes. Dr Ranj checks out a breakfast buffet to see whether we really know how many calories we're piling on our plates, while Sian looks at off-the-shelf portion control gadgets, including miniature cutlery to make us eat more slowly.
And two more dieters are nearing the end of their 28-day value for money trial as two more diets are put through their paces £ for lb. This week, The Metabolism Reset Diet, which claims that a detox for the liver can also help you lose weight, and Bosh! Healthy Vegan, which means ditching junk food and cooking from scratch, go under the microscope. With an enormous weight loss for one dieter, how will these two newcomers rank on the programme's leaderboard?

Episode 6
In the series finale, the winning lb for £ diet is revealed on the 2020 leaderboard. Which diet will take the Save Money crown?
The final two diets to be put through their paces are the TwoChubbyCubs Diet in which ‘fakeaways' are on the menu, and the trendy Collagen Diet in which a plan involving drinking a bone broth claims to keep you fuller for longer.
Plus, the programme reveals how people can still treat themselves to a Friday night takeaway while keeping an eye on the calories.
